Idaho Governor Signs Bills to Lure Areva

Governor Butch Otter signed two bills which aim to lure French uranium company Areva to Bonneville County.

The bills offer both property and sales tax incentives.  Areva is considering locating a plant Bonneville County somewhere between Idaho Falls and the Idaho National Laboratory.  The company, worth $2.5 billion, could bring in hundreds of millions to the local economy over the years.  The company is also considering locating in Washington, Ohio, Texas and New Mexico.
