THE HOME EMPORIUM TO HOLD GRAND OPENING AUGUST 23

New business concept blends daily home show with upscale home and garden showroom

IDAHO FALLS, ID (August 21, 2008)—The area’s only complete home and garden idea center will open its doors to the public on Saturday, August 23, at 10 a.m.

More than 70 businesses will display their products and services in the upscale permanent home show setting. The building’s 20,000 square feet of professional booth space allows for a second phase to be open early next year.

“We think that Idaho Falls needs a concept like this,” said Mary Shell, owner. “There are so many great local home and garden businesses. The Home Emporium is a way for them to display their products and services in one collective showroom. These local companies have built some truly amazing and beautiful exhibits, and we’re so excited to open our doors.”

As part of the grand opening festivities, The Home Emporium will host a free BBQ lunch and dinner. There will also be raffle prizes, live music from the American Spice Band, and family activities such as a bouncy castle and free balloons for kids.

“If you’re thinking of remodeling or building a home, or even just working on a home improvement project, The Home Emporium is designed to have everything you’re looking for in one place,” said Karen Koplin, manager. “We like to say that we eliminate the need to go from business to business.”

Vendor booths are unmanned to create a no-pressure showroom for customers—except during the company’s monthly events every third Saturday when customers will have the opportunity to interact with business owners and ask questions.

The company is still accepting vendor applications for showroom space. Applications are open to any company with home- or garden-related products or services.

The Home Emporium is an admittance-free home and garden show open seven days a week. It features exhibits from the region’s finest companies including painting, flooring, cabinetry, lighting, furniture, home services, art, landscaping, decorating, organization and much more.
